Riksha – Music Review

Our Comments -

For anyone not familiar, Riksha is a heavy metal band from Salt Lake City, Utah. It is a group of four serious, respective musicians who have worked to create awesome music and have made an outstanding reputation for themselves. They are associated with Project Independent, and by knowing who Project Independent is and what they do, it is plain to see that Riksha possesses notable audible and visual talent. It doesn’t stop there, either. To say even more, they are also a proud Jägermeister band. They are another great band that is working hard to keep metal alive, and we at WoodBangers believe that good things will continue to come their way.

On September 27, 2013, Riksha released their second album titled “Dream Drops Red”. It is a 10-song album that was composed to tell an elaborate story. The physical copy of the album contains an 8-page fold out with lyrics to the songs and liner notes. This goes to show that Riksha is a band that delivers, and their music is not the only thing that they have to offer. When they make an album…they “make an album”, and that’s cool! You guys are great, Riksha, and the album sounds great, too. Whether you already are and have been a Riksha fan, or if you have just heard of them…getting a hold of this album is a must and it can be done so at

The album also includes a cover of The Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues” with an interesting, ass-kicking, heavy metal twist to it that will shift a listener’s adrenaline into overdrive. Check it at the link above. More information on Riksha including bio, music, photos, videos, links to social sites, etc. can be found at
