Remain The Same – Music Review
Remain The Same
Remain The Same is in my opinion far beyond the listed genre as Rock according to Reverbnation. Remain The Same’s music has a beautiful collection of greatly express influences within it. Listening to “Here We Are” is a nice emotional roller-coaster ride that takes me back to some really good memories. This group if fact reminds me of the original Breaking Benjamin demo’s before producers got a hold of it. At the same time the music has a nice Nickelback/Shinedown groove mixed with a little bit of Linkin Park’s true passion.
Remain The Same is based out of the great Memphis Tennessee, known for it’s music scene through out the world. Now we had gotten in touch with Remain The Same and have spoken with Harvey, which is awesome by the way. After speaking with Harvey (guitarist and backup vocals) about what the band is up to, and his overview of the band, here is what he says.
“Remain The Same” is a heavy rock band based in Memphis, TN, U.S.A. The name originated from the idea of staying true to yourself and not changing to please anyone else.
The band is currently recording a full length album expected to release late 2013 or early 2014. Music on this album is a mixture of rock, hard rock, metal, and just a dash of mainstream. Lyrically this album is focused on making it through the day to day trials of life and arriving to a new better day. We do not focus on the negative, but instead try to deliver a message of hope and perseverance.
We are releasing a 4 song teaser EP in September 2013. This EP includes 3 songs that will be on the full length as well as a free digital download of a secret cover song. The cover song information has not been released to the public so it will be a surprise.
Since we are currently recording we are not on tour. However, we are playing local and regional shows.
Over this summer we have been involved with a local charity Musicians for Le Bonheur. Le Bonheur is a childrens hospital based in our hometown of Memphis, TN. All the money from cover charges, and merchandise sales at all these shows goes directly to the hospital.

So in this message from him it shows the bands fully moving strong in a nice direction to get their careers going. We at WoodBangers LLC Network are looking forward to hearing the full album and possibly making it out to a show when we are in passing. Remain The Same is totally a band that we would have in our music collection, or jamming in our vehicles. Now jamming hard to their track “Into the New” which is a solid song! Strong lyrics and musical progression as a whole coming out of this song. I really enjoy the bands influences coming through in their music. If you havent heard of Remain The Same until now, depending on your browser you should be hearing it right now. If you dig it, become a fan of them today, we are!
As usual we always include the most accurate information at the time about the bands. Below you will find all social & official links to Remain The Same, along with music, videos, biography, and any up coming tour dates. A special thanks goes out to Harvey for his time, and we wish these guys tons of luck!

Info- Remain The Same is a hard rock band based in Memphis, TN. Originally formed in 2010 they released their debut self-titled EP in 2011. The band immediately hit the stage and the road gathering faithful fans at every stop. From 2010 through 2011 the band played many venues including The New Daisy and Minglewood Hall in Memphis, and made short tours to Baton Rouge and Nashville.
Despite taking a break from the stage in 2012 the band has been hard at work. Focusing on the internal workings of a band/business (that fans usually don’t consider) they’ve spent countless hours networking with other artists, rehearsing, writing new material, recording demos, built a new website, and designed/released new merchandise.
New album in 2013? Yep! Justin Rimer (Breaking Point & 12 Stones), now producer / half-owner of Crosstrax Studios, agreed to produce the next RTS album. Justin’s vast experience rocking the stage and in the recording environment has been invaluable to the guys. As a producer he has pushed each member of the band to the very edge of their abilities and forced them to grow. You can hear the growth and development in the two new singles “Here We Are” and “Into The New” released January 2013.
The new album, as yet unnamed, is a new destination for RTS and their fans. Lyrically focused on persevering through life’s trials and arriving at better days, sends a positive and uplifting message of hope for the listeners. Musically, the guys mixed the best ingredients of hard rock, hints of metal, progressive innovation, and just enough mainstream to engage every single listener.
Think they’re just another rock band? Think again! One listen and you’ll agree, Remain The Same is poised to redefine Rock n Roll. Consider yourself put on notice!
